How We Can Work Together

Short intro:
I offer three main ways to work together, depending on what you need right now: clarity, ongoing support, or focused, short-term change.

  1. Evaluations
Gain clarity about what’s going on and why. Comprehensive assessments for attention, learning, mood, and neurocognitive concerns, with clear, actionable recommendations.
  2. Therapy Sessions
Weekly or biweekly sessions to process, heal, and practice new skills—whether you’re managing anxiety, trauma, eating concerns, or life transitions.
  3. Intensives
Time-limited, highly focused blocks of therapy designed to help you move through stuck places more quickly than traditional weekly therapy alone.

Autism Interviews, Evaluations/Assessments, Treatment Resources

Sometimes you just know something isn’t adding up—focus issues, memory problems, emotional storms, or long-standing patterns that aren’t shifting. A thorough evaluation can give language and structure to what you’ve been living with.

I provide evaluations for:

  • ADHD and attention concerns
  • Learning and academic difficulties
  • Memory, processing, and executive functioning
  • Mood, anxiety, and trauma-related concerns
  • Diagnostic clarification for complex presentations

What an evaluation includes:

Clinical interview and history

Standardized testing (paper-and-pencil and/or computer-based)

Scoring and interpretation of results

Feedback session to walk through findings

A written report with diagnoses (if appropriate) and clear recommendations.

Insurance / cost note:
I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement for eligible services.

Common evaluation billing codes include 96116, 96121, 96130, 96131, 96132, 96133, 96136, 96137, 96138, and 96139. Your specific codes will depend on the type and length of evaluation. I’m happy to help you prepare questions to ask your insurance company about reimbursement.

Ongoing Therapy Sessions

Therapy is a place to slow down, make sense of your story, and learn how to respond to your nervous system and emotions with more understanding and less judgment.

I work with:

  • Teens and young adults
  • College students and graduate students
  • Adults navigating relationships, burnout, and life transitions

Common concerns:

  • Anxiety, worry, and overthinking
  • Trauma and chronic stress
  • Disordered eating and body image concerns
  • Perfectionism and people-pleasing
  • Depression, numbness, and disconnection
  • Sleep and nervous system dysregulation (in collaboration with medical providers)

Format & fees (customize):

  • Individual sessions: 50 minutes
  • Frequency: Weekly or biweekly, depending on need and availability
  • Fee: $150 per session Insurance can be billed (out-of-network; superbills available)

EMDR Therapy Intensives

Sometimes weekly therapy isn’t enough—or you’ve hit a stuck point that needs more dedicated time and space. Intensives are structured blocks of therapy designed to help you move through specific issues more quickly and deeply.

Examples of intensives:

  • 2–3 half-day intensives focused on a specific theme (e.g., trauma processing, body image, or relationship patterns)
  • Brief, time-limited intensives surrounding major life transitions

You can expect:

  • A pre-intensive consultation to clarify goals
  • A personalized plan using evidence-based approaches
  • Integration and follow-up sessions as needed

EMDR Intensives are not appropriate for all situations; we’ll determine together whether this structure is a good fit for your needs.

Lauren Impraim, LPC, CAS, EMDRIA

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Austism Specialist in Arizona, and I specialize in helping people understand the “why” behind their symptoms—and then build skills to work with their brains and bodies, not against them.

My approach is:

  • Collaborative – We’re a team. You’re the expert on your experience; I bring training, tools, and structure.
  • Compassionate – No shaming, no “just get over it.” We move at a pace that respects your nervous system.
  • Evidence-based – I draw from approaches such as CBT, ACT, trauma-informed, and attachment-based frameworks, integrating mind–body awareness.

I care deeply about helping people move from “What’s wrong with me?” to “Oh, this makes sense now—and here’s what I can do next.”

You can add: training background, settings you’ve worked in, and any special populations (e.g., college students, eating disorders, ADHD, trauma, etc.).

Fees, Insurance & Reimbursement

  • I am in-network with Aetna, BCBS, UMR, UHC, Cigna for sessions.
  • Payment is due at the time of service.
  • I can provide a monthly superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement for Autism Evals and Intensives.

Questions to ask your insurance company:

  1. Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  2. What percentage is reimbursed for CPT codes such as:
    • 90791 (intake)
    • 90834 / 90837 (therapy sessions)
    • Evaluation codes (e.g., 96116, 96130, 96132, etc.)
  3. Do I need pre-authorization for testing or therapy?
  4. Is there a deductible I must meet first?
